Documented waterproofing for bridges, tunnels and structures in Scandinavia
KBT Waterproofing applies seamless spray-applied membranes on concrete and steel. Every section is measured and documented while the work is open: climate at every layer, film thickness, adhesion and a holiday test of 100% of the area. The client receives proof before the membrane is covered, not an assumption afterwards.
What we do
Bridge decks
KBT Type 5 (Eliminator®) on concrete and steel decks for road, railway, cycle and footbridges, under asphalt, protective concrete or ballast. Read more
Tunnels
Spray-applied membrane on the outside of tunnels and tunnel elements, robust enough for reinforcement, casting, backfill and ballast, and verified before it is covered.
Car park and podium decks

Concrete and steel structures
Waterproofing of terraces, tanks and other structures where a leak is expensive to find and repair later.
We also inject cracks in existing concrete structures in service. Injection is a repair method: it cannot be verified while it is carried out, so we never recommend it as the waterproofing of a new structure.
How every section is verified
- Substrate: assessed section by section, with pull-off tests to EN ISO 4624 before application.
- Climate at every layer: air and surface temperature, relative humidity and dew point before primer, each membrane layer and bond coat. The surface must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.
- Film thickness: wet film checked with a comb during spraying, dry film of at least 2 mm in two colour-coded layers.
- Adhesion: pull-off tests on the finished membrane with failure mode recorded. Project requirement typically an average of at least 2.0 MPa and no single value below 1.5 MPa.
- Holiday test of 100% of the area: every pinhole is found, marked, repaired and retested before the membrane is covered. How it works
- QA report per section: delivered to the client and contractor before the section is covered.

KBT Waterproofing A/S is based in Lynge, north of Copenhagen, and is part of Kemitura Group. We work across Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
